The Ball

Mark took these two little princesses to a ball over the weekend.  They were so excited but unfortunately Leila was having a bit of a day.  She needed a nap and didn't take one.  There were a lot of tears apparently.  Mark came home a little frustrated with her but Kenya had a great time. They met lots and lots of princesses.

You can't tell from these pictures that there were tears involved.  :) These were taken at the beginning of the evening.
I think the lipstick was the most exciting part of the night for Leila.

 Twirling for me...

This little princess wanted in on the action too.

There's the princess turned grumpy!

Who needs Disneyland, right? :)

33!

A few days before my birthday the kids were talking about how old I was going to be, when we said 33 Leila said "Hey!  I'm 3 too!"  Cutie.  So we are now both 3's. :) It was a good day.  I didn't have to cook for about 5 meals in a row so that's always nice!  I went to breakfast with my mom and Kelle, lunch with friends, and dinner with my little fam.  I am still trying to embrace these birthdays, they're not too bad yet.  The wrinkles that keep coming are another story though, which I know will just keep getting worse so I better embrace that too!

Pinewood Derby

Charlie's first pinewood derby contest, the day he's been counting down to and Mark's been dreading. :)  Mark never had a dad around to help him with these kind of things when he was little so I think he just felt out of his element.  He has bad memories because of it.  But he was a good dad and helped Charlie build his car.  It wasn't the sharpest looking, I mean it had coins duct taped to the top of it to weigh it down!  Charlie didn't care though, I thought it still looked pretty decent.  Before we left Mark said "Sorry bud, but don't expect your car to do very good Charlie."  Good encouragement! :)  Well Mark was wrong because Charlie's car won a lot of it's heats and took 4th over all!  Way to go team Holbrook!

Nice job "black money!"

Mommy's Heels

Is there anything cuter than a little girl walking around in her momma's heels?  They all go through a little phase of this.  I love it.
