So this is Kenya with her cute new bows in an attempt to have two little piggies. I just did her hair right before this picture and right after this picture we stuck her in the car and gave her a bottle....

Look Who's Walking!
Kenya has been taking steps for about a month now but she's really starting to take off! She's also learned how to crawl down the stairs and doesn't want to stay away from them. I can't believe how busy she is. She was such a calm newborn, I thought she would stay that way but I was wrong! She's just as busy as Charlie was, she crawls all the way up slides at the park and gets to the tallest slide and wants to go down and gets so mad when I snatch her before she makes it. Despite all the busyness she's still a sweetie.
This is a video of Charlie walking, just for a fun flash back! He's about 10 months old.

5 minutes later when we pulled up to our destination Mark looked back to find this! Now you know why we call her stinkerella!

Kenya Camille is One!
Happy Birthday to our baby girl- Kenners, Ya Ya, stinkerella, Kens, babies, little stinker, little sweetie, KC, spaz, our little cutie pie!
Thanks for putting smiles on our faces all day long
Thanks for the sweet hugs and pats on the back when we pick you up out of your crib
Thanks for the spazzy right arm that's always going when you're being carried, it always makes us laugh!
Thanks for giving us those cheesy toothy grins!
Thanks for being such a sweet good newborn and infant! I don't know how I would've made it through those first months if you were anything but.
Thanks for being my probably one and only blondie!
Thanks for letting me be your mom, it's such a joy!
We love you baby, Happy Birthday!

Birthday Bash!
Kenya and her cousin Greta were born 3 days apart so my sister in law Amy and I decided to have a combined birthday party for these little cuties. We had it on Greta's birthday the 22nd since Kenya's is over the holiday weekend on the 25th. Since both of us are in the process of building a new home and living with parents right now Amy's parents Allen and Linda Sumsion were kind enough to let us have the party at their house, thank you! It turned out great and the best part was Greta and Kenya eating their cupcakes and doing the jig to Greta's favorite latino party music! (Or what was that song!?) Greta got so happy when it played, it was hilarious! Thank you to all who came and for the cute gifts too!
Two twin cousins.
Kenya of course wouldn't sit still for a second
Greta was quite content wherever she was.
Singing "Happy Birthday" and clapping after.
We let them dig into their cake, they were pretty girly about it though, Kenya did manage to knock over a tower and take a bite of the chocolate bridge.
Eating their cupcakes , they attacked these much better!

The masterpiece castle cake that Amy and her mom made!
These are my cupcake bites, aren't they so cute! Thanks to Erianne for helping me out, although they're fun and easy to make they do take a while but they're worth it, so yummy! I got the recipe from bakerella, she's got great ideas!
I also made these cupcakes, this was my first time decorating anything and although they are very amateur they were fun to do, I think I'll be decorating my own cakes more often, anyone want to take a class with me?

Craft Day!
Paige and I were talking yesterday about our kids first birthday and she was telling me how she wanted to make a birthday hat for Brock, I then invited myself to make one with her and we tackled a utensil holder that she saw on Studio 5 at the same time! And it only took us 4 hours! :) Yes we had breaks for picking up kids, feeding babies and kids and ourself, wiping away tears, and of course changing some diapers, but all in all I'd call it a success! Thanks Paige for letting us crash your house!
I know they're for the babies but they weren't going to keep them on for a picture! (Yes that is the reason why we made them but we'll wait for the actual day to struggle with that!)
The Zoo
We went to Hogle Zoo on Tuesday with Jayme and Samara. Charlie hasn't been for a year or so so it was like the first time all over again! He loved seeing all the animals but especially the elephants and bears.
Charlie and Samara in front of the giraffes
Ahh...young love. Look though, she's already taking control!
Kenya was restless sitting in the stroller and was so excited to get out and see the elephants (ok, just to get out, she really didn't notice the elephants.)
Trying to get a 1, 2 and 3 year old to smile and look at the camera all at the same time? I don't think so! :) I think this is even cuter though.
We ended the day with the train ride, I think both my kids were sick of the camera by then. :)
