12 Year Anniversary

We celebrated our 12 year anniversary this year by going up to Snowbird for two days and one night.  It was a much needed break, like always but it's been a long time for us since we went away just the two of us.  It's been stressful to have this thyroid thing on my mind all the time so I was glad to have a distraction from that.

I started taking some tennis lessons with Cami this summer.  It's fun but tennis is hard!  A few lessons in and I am still not very good.  Mark humored me though, we had fun playing.  If you can even call it that.

We went into Draper for a Doctor appointment I had.  It went well, I feel like every appointment I have gives me a little more hope for the future of my thyroid.  This doctor did an ultrasound and said my lymphs looked good from what he could tell and he told me the nodule was only 1.5 cm, it's been measuring 2.25 cm every other time.  I think it's because of my diet, supplements, and oils that I've been doing strictly these last few weeks, he laughed and said those things wouldn't work.  I don't believe him though. :)  He gave me hope that I won't have to do radioactive iodine after surgery if it is malignant so that was good too.  I really didn't want to have to do that.

After the doctor we went to the Draper Temple and did sealings.  It's a beautiful temple, I love seeing new temples.  There are so many around us I'd like to go to new ones more often.  I loved being reminded of our wedding 12 years ago.  I can't even believe it's been that long.

After the temple it was time for a pedicure and a massage, then back up to Snowbird for dinner at the Steak Pit.  Delish.

The next morning we hung out by the pool for a couple hours before heading home.  Take me back, it was so nice!

So grateful for 12 amazing and challenging years.  I'm grateful for those challenges we've had.  We've grown a lot and they've made us stronger.  I can truly say I love him more today than I did then.  Not sure if he can say the same thing about me, I think he's getting better and I'm getting worse!  :) Love you babe.

More Boating!

This is that smile when we start cruising on the       boat, love it!  The captain of the ship, he's a great driver.  Good looking too. :)

Kenya got up on this U ski of the Hansons.  She loved it.

 Kenya and Brooklyn

 Wake surfing at sunset.

Charlie got up on two skis.  He's a natural.  This is typical for Leila by the time we're heading back to shore.

Cora does pretty good on the boat for a 15 month old.  It's a little more stressful with her but we'll be over this stage soon enough.

Cute little besties Kenya and Brighton.

The tube is always a huge hit.

 Little monkey's.

Charlie was frustrated after his first attempt at the wakeboard but got right up his second time around and is doing great at it.  He also loves kneeboarding, and surfing.

Our trip with the Poulson clan.  Always fun being with cousins.

We've been trying to get out on the Lake every chance we get and are loving it!

Weekend Mornings

Lot's of weekend mornings these munchkins climb into our bed and we lay around for a little bit before getting going.  One time everyone but Kenya was in our bed because she was still asleep.  When she woke up she came down to find everyone in the bed but her and said "No fair!! Everyone's in there but me!" and went out of the room crying.  We all started laughing and she really didn't like that. :)  We brought her in and made her feel better and all was good though. :)

These two and their shows, and here they are waiting for the "nuffins" as Leila calls them to be done.  Love Cora's little stance, just doing what sister is doing.

We love the weekends!

Our Great Dad

Happy Fathers Day Mark!  The kids and I made him the usual breakfast in bed with his favorite cottage cheese pancakes.  He opened some home made gifts from the kids and got the day off from helping me with the usual household stuff and kid stuff.  We went to Jared and Jaynee's for a BBQ and got to celebrate with my dad.  It was a good day.  So grateful for Mark.  I would go crazy without him, even though I still go crazy with him and I'm crazy about him. :)

We went to Jared and Jaynee's that night to celebrate with my dad.

Not sure why we have a picture with my mom on Fathers day though...there's a pic of my dad with all the grand kids somewhere...

These are not from Father's Day but a sight I get to enjoy often in our backyard of Mark playing with the kids.  I especially loved this evening because I looked out to see the girls surrounding, playing, and talking with their daddy.  So sweet.

Then I got a few of cute Cora and her wobbly walking and Kenya and Leila with their gymnastic tricks.

We love summer nights!
