Lava Hot Springs

We decided to do Lava Hot Springs again this year.  We were hoping for a couple night stay but the forecast was rain. :(  It poured the first night, luckily we all stayed dry and warm in our tents. We got a couple hours of good weather so we headed down to the river and the kids jumped in.  It was cold!

It was still pretty wet in the morning so we ate breakfast in the tent.
We lucked out and the sun came out while we went to the pool.  It was perfect and not crowded since the weather was so iffy.  Charlie did backflips of the first and second platform!  He landed on his back on the second platform but was pretty tough about it.  Kenya jumped off the first and second platform, I was impressed!

We went down the river a couple times while Mark packed up camp, rain was coming again, we made it out of there just before it started pouring.  A fun little get away but I've had enough of the rain!

Pioneer day Celebration

We had a jam packed 24th of July weekend.  We started it off with the neighborhood bike parade.  This takes place in our "old ward" and we're starting to feel like outsiders, there's so many new people over there.  Kind of sad but glad we were all a ward for so many years.  We had a couple police escorts.  The kids have fun.

We went swimming at Jared's pool during the day.  Cami and I have twinner suits.  She wore it better but I had it first. :)

 Photo bomber.

We went to dinner and the rodeo with the Johnsons.  The rodeo was long with Cora, and hot.  We left early.  We lit a few fireworks when we got home.

My little walker.  So cute toddling around.

The kids are in school so I helped Leila decorate our driveway with her new sidewalk paint she got for her birthday.  We also celebrated on the 23rd with the bountiful carnival.  I wasn't feeling super well, still recovering from thyroid surgery so Mark went up to his mom's to watch the fireworks with the two older kids.

Leila was so excited about all these rides.  She was begging to ride the train, and was the only passenger!  We like to go to the carnival during the parade, not many there.  Then we head out right as the crowd starts venturing over.  The way to go!

These are out of order but here's fireworks and sparklers after the rodeo.
