Kenya LOVED this piggy bank. She played with it straight for the first 24 hours she had it, wanted to sleep with it and everything. When we were packing up to leave I couldn't find the piggy bank and trying to ask a two year old where she put it does not work well. I seriously looked for that thing for a good hour. Just as we were about to leave I did one last search with Charlie, he found it on top of a bunk bed and she was so excited, immediately following the excitement was a fit because I told her we couldn't watch The Princess and the Frog on the way home. I was prepared to let her throw her fit stood up to walk away when I hear a big crash on the tile. She had dropped the piggy bank that had been in her possession again for a total of 30 seconds and shattered it which of course resulted in more tears and sadness. I ended up getting her a new one a couple weeks later and it has not left her dresser for fear of breaking it again, so I guess lesson learned!
Snowbird put on a fun Easter egg hunt Sunday morning on their bunny hill. We got their just as they let the kids loose. Instead of heading for the eggs Kenya headed straight for the Easter Bunny who grabbed her and led her in the direction of the eggs. She still was more excited for the Easter Bunny though.
Charlie got to take a ski lesson the next day, he wanted to snowboard but they won't do lessons for that until they're seven, luckily he was happy to take a ski lesson too. Unfortunately when we walked over to watch him ski at the end of the day they had gone inside because it was thundering so we didn't get to check out his new skills but his teacher said he did great and that he was a really good listener, yay Charlie!
It was a great weekend, especially being able to listen to conference and I must say how proud I am of Mark who chose to forgo snowboarding in the beautiful powder to listen to conference. I didn't have much of a choice being pregnant but he did. What an example, or maybe he's just crazy. :)
