Happy Birthday Leila!

Dear Leila,

You finally turned four years old!  You've been asking for months "when I gonna be four?!"  I keep telling you that you can't turn four and you're going to stay three forever.  You did not like that answer. Leila you've been such a joy in our lives!  I love how every morning you climb into our bed and usually snuggle right up to me, sometimes dad. :) You are the best snuggler.  If I'm ever laying down you want to be laying next to me.  You have "needed" me the most so far out of your older brother and sister, I've said it since you were a baby and it still rings true.  I hope you continue to need me because I need you.  I need your kisses and hugs and snuggles, I need your shyness and sassiness.  I need your suppressed smile and your boisterous giggle.  I need your beautiful drawings and your perfect twirls.  I want to remember forever what it feels like to have your sweet little arms wrap tightly around my neck while you kiss my cheek.  You are my sunshine, I love you Leila.  Happy Birthday!

Love, mom

Leila had such a fun birthday!  We decided to rent a blow up slide/bouncy house and it was perfect.  She had a friend party during the day followed by family and some friends that night.  It was an all day party and she had a blast.  She chose her cake out of a cake magazine that I have and chose the colors she wanted it to be.  The outside reminded me of a mermaid tale so I thought it fit with the water party we were doing.  I loved making it, even though it goes against what I try not to feed my kids, I can't help myself with the food coloring when it comes to birthday cakes.  It kind of makes me giddy.

Kenya and Kiley set up a face painting booth, it was a hit!

Look at this stud taking the birthday girl for a ride!

 The family party that night...

Could you die over this kick?!  She was just so happy all day.

Cute Cora was loving it too.  She loved the kiddie pool we had out.

At one point I looked down to find her like this eating someones leftover cake.

Doing Pocahontas hair with her new hair tools.

Such a fun day for this sweet birthday girl.  I was exhausted but she is worth it. :)

Our Dat To Day

Shea had to run to the emergency one morning, she was having chest pain so we grabbed her little boys and headed to costco and chick fil-a.  She ended up being fine, thank goodness!

Mark had Father's and Son's again this year.  Rick and his boys went with them.  They had a great time.

This boy sitting on my lap, never happens!

I am one of the Den Leaders for this group of boys!  Here they are before heading up to Scout Camp for the day.

Leila is loving play-doh.  It keeps her entertained but I hate the mess it makes!
