La Jolla

On our last day we went to La Jolla Beach, which was really crowded and not our favorite but still fun, then we drove over to look at the seals laying out on the beach.  After we got some dinner we went down to Mission Beach and did some shopping, Kaia and Sailor are really into the shopping scene these days, kinda fun to have them along.

The four year olds were wiped out from all the activities and took a good little nap on the beach.

Beautiful sandcastle and beautiful handstands. :)

Back at home Charlie played a muddy game of football, fun for the boys but probably not as fun for the fans in the rain!  It was maybe a good one to have to miss. :)  They did great and won!

Drove home on Sunday, the girls were great and the drive really wasn't bad. Kaia joined us halfway.  I listened to a book which helps the time go by faster.
We drove through some crazy weather outside of Payson.  The rain was coming down and I was feeling anxious.  I have a hard time driving in bad weather ever since my accident a year ago.  Luckily it didn't last too long and there was a rainbow right by the Payson temple to greet us.  The sky was beautiful.

It was such a great trip!  We all want to go back next year.  Not sure if it will happen but I'm glad we got to make such great memories with family this year.

Disneyland

Mark flew home Thursday morning with Charlie and Cora and the girls and I headed to Disneyland with Cami and her girls!  Leila was able to ride almost every ride with a little help from some big shoes we bought her.  Unfortunately she didn't love most of the big rides.  :(  She cried on Splash Mountain and Space Mountain.  She was a tiny bit grumpy that day, a little sleep deprived.  We still had a lot of fun even though it was hot and kind of crowded.  We've been spoiled with no crowds almost every time we've been to Disneyland so this was a little different for us.

First stop, princesses!

Thunder mountain.

crying after the drop on splash mountain.  Sheer terror for Leila and Scarlett. :)

Meeting Mickey in his house.  I loved this because it reminded me of taking Charlie for the first time when he was 3.  Leila is more subdued with her excitement than Charlie was but these are some of my favorite memories with my kids!

Ride selfies...

Kenya's happy place, a giant wall of stuffed animals. :)

For their souvenir they decided on these Elsa and Anna dolls.  I think they're adorable and I loved watching them play with them the next morning.

Kenya was so worried about these three making it home safe on the plane when we were driving to Disneyland.  Mark sent us this picture to help her feel better and know they were ok.  We face timed them the next morning, cute Cora. :)

A great vacation, she's got the tan line to prove it! :)
