It's A...
Day of Love
We had a good Vday. Mark and I went to dinner at Mikado's on Saturday, he got me roses, we watched The Time Travelers Wife (I've been dying to watch it since I read the book, the movie was better than I expected. Mark was left feeling a little confused.) The kids got to play at their cousins, one of their favorite places to be. On Sunday I made our usual heart shaped pink pancakes (or panpapes as Kenya calls them) and we gave the kids our little gifts to them. Mark wrote them each a card and gave them a little bag of candy. He also gave Kenya a rose which she loved! It was sweet. I got them each a book and a towel robe for the pool or the bath, they were probably most excited about getting their own pack of gum though. Love these two little ones and my big one too! Happy Valentines Day.

Valentine Adventures
We had my friend Jen and her girls over for lunch and some Valentine cookie frosting! It's fun that Kenya's getting old enough to start enjoying these types of things, Charlie likes it but he's such a boy about it! Just glopping on the frosting and sprinkles. :) They had fun and we were exhausted. Yes we just made cookies but we are both pregnant and it just takes it out of you! I can't imagine how we'll feel if we try and venture out to the zoo. :)

Charlie's preschool teacher had a thank you luncheon for all the mom's last week. I couldn't believe how cute everything was decorated! It was so nice of her. After the kids sang a few songs they gave us a treat. They were holding the treats on their last song and when it was over they were suppose to come give their mom's their treats. Charlie just sort of tossed mine to me, he's already too cool for me! I had to ask him to give me a hug and a kiss and take a picture. I was a bit sad.

We went up to Bear River Lodge again this year with a bunch of our neighbors for a little snowmobiling weekend. Lot's of fun! Not lot's of pictures. I stayed behind on the snowmobiling adventures with some gals and we made some cute little bows for our girls (my first ever bow making experience!) We had a great time.

One of my bestest friends Miss Jayme Sayes turned 29 and we got celebrate at Macaroni Grill. We were able to bamboozle two birthday cakes, even though we were there for her, my birthday is close enough to get a free cake! :)
We were laughing because Mark was trying to get in our picture, when we looked over we noticed he had put the chocolate cake all over his teeth, too bad we missed THAT picture!

Lately
I am so glad January is over!!! I can see some light at the end of the tunnel and I love it. As I was uploading my pictures I discovered my kids had taken my camera and took a lot of pictures, mainly of the TV but these two of Kenya were keepers.

We've played a lot of Candy Land lately. Kenya loves it but hates when someone else picks princess Frostine. She gets so mad that she just starts putting the game away.

Me at 16 weeks, that dark background against my dark shirt isn't really showing my big belly, let's try again...

We had a picnic outside in the beautiful 45 degree sunny weather! It honestly felt so good, I was shocked when I found out it was only 45.

My bathroom
is my time out. I find myself a lot there lately, I turn on the fan to drowned out the noise and fold laundry, clean, take a bath, cry, sit, think and I come out feeling a bit better. This winter is really wearing on me if I don't get out of the house it makes for an impatient, grumpy mom, and stir crazy kids but it's hard to be motivated to get out of the house lately! I've never disliked winter as much as I do this year. So if you're feeling like me, wanna go do something? :)
That is my sob story, pathetic I know.

Vail
My family took a little trip to Vail last week. We look forward to this every year, and feel so lucky to enjoy it! My kids had a ball. We did the usual, lounging around, swimming, eating, and skiing/snowboarding. Actually this year the snow wasn't very good so we didn't feel like it was worth the $97 to ski the mountain but we got to go a little bit on the free lift with the kids. Charlie decided that he wanted to try snowboarding this year. Now I'm all for snowboarding but I wasn't super excited to teach a 5 year old to do it so I kept telling him not this year. Of course in true Charlie style he kept asking and asking, this kid doesn't give in and knows what he wants! We decided to rent him a snowboard and let him have at it. He actually did pretty good. He just goes down the hill until he falls, he doesn't want to learn how to turn, won't listen to us when we try to teach him, he just wants to go straight down. The last day he was tired and frustrated I think. He told me he said a prayer the night before and asked Heavenly Father to make him be better at snowboarding so I think he thought he was going to get out there and magically be really good. He was shedding some sad tears by the end, I felt bad. Over all I was really impressed with his little snowboarding skills!

Last year they were all gathered around the DS's, this year it was the itouch. I love how Charlie is cuddled up to Stella, this was in the morning just after waking up.
