Swimming Pool in Bear Lake

I have so many pics from Bear Lake I decided to split it up. Jen's parents have an amazing cabin up there too, we didn't stay there but we did get to enjoy the club house pool. A morning in the lake and an afternoon at the pool, it was wonderful.

While Charlie has struggled diving Kenya picked it up all on her own!

I am in love with this picture. Just watching the kids.

Leila was a dream at the pool. I have not had a child that will pretty much just hang out on the edge of the pool. It is great for a change, I didn't have to worry too much that she would fall in, she stayed away pretty well.

Even a little nervous when she did get in until daddy helper her out a bit.

LOVED swimming with dad.

Me and Jen with Leila and Jessie. 2 weeks apart and completely different at the pool. Jess was all over the place in and out of the pool, practically drowning himself! Entertaining to watch though, only because I have been there with Charlie and Kenya.

Love these pics too...

St George

So after much research we found a house that we love and a price that we liked down in St. George. We headed down there to enjoy it before we couldn't anymore since we will be renting it out for at least the first couple years. We were basically camping in the house since there is nothing in it but we had a good time.

Leila had her first swing ride and loved it...

Hard to get a picture of all three being happy but I tried.

This was how we ate all our meals.

On our last day we decided to go to Sand Hollow and hang out on the beach. When we pulled up there was a sign that said "Swimmers itch is out." What the heck is swimmers itch you ask? So did we. Apparently it's a microscopic bug that can get into your skin and 7% of people are allergic and it causes a bad rash. You only get it in shallow warm parts of the water, like the beach area. Right where we were going. It didn't sound like something I wanted to risk my kids getting even though the numbers were slim, especially Leila so she sat on the beach with me and the kids got in the water but tried to go in deeper and not wade in the shallow part. Luckily nobody got it but it made the trip to the beach not quite as fun as we had hoped.

The red sand got so hot when we were going back to the car, it was burning through my flip flops and my feet were on fire, and running in flip flops in the sand doesn't really work, especially when carrying loads of stuff. Charlie didn't even wear his shoes (against my recommendations of course.) He is pretty tough though, ran through it then burnt his feet on the black rubber step while getting into the car. That boy will almost always, I'm afraid, have to experience the consequences of not listening to us before he learns.

Our house is now rented out for the next 2 years, hopefully we'll be able to furnish it by then and use it while still renting it out as a vacation place for other families. That is the plan for now.

Help

I am backed up on blogging, end of summer, first days of school, my fabulous trip to Europe are all on hold. I don't like the feeling but my computer has zero memory space left so I'm trying to sort through all my pics and move old ones over to my hard drive, what a task! I'm so overwhelmed, and I'm not quite finished with my 2010 blog book still, haven't even started the 2011, blurb isn't working for me right now, and I'm waaaay behind in my kid's books...it's overwhelming! I LOVE all my pics but I'm having a hard time figuring out how to stay on top of it all. Still trying to figure out if I should print pics still (I gave up scrapbooking but for a while I was printing them and putting them in photo albums) ever since I started my blog books I thought maybe I'd just print up my blog book for me and then do individual digital books for my kids of just them each year, trying to figure out the best website to do that through too. Overwhelming to say the least, so I want to know...what do you do with your pictures? Do you make books for your kids, for you? Do you still print pics? Please all you 5 people that read my blog, help a girl out....pretty please?

In the mean time here are some cute tub time pics of my littlest...

Slip 'n Slide

Swim

I decided to do swim lessons at the end of summer this year and it was great. The kids loved it and it and did great. Charlie started to learn how to dive, it was hilarious because he totally thought he was diving, he's not even very close yet. The pictures explain it all. :)

He he he, perfect arm position...the rest needs a little practice, maybe next year bud. :)
