San Diego!!

My kids are off track and somehow my whole side of the family (siblings and dad) got it worked out to go to San Diego for a week!  My dad miraculously found four condos with the time share he sells and we jumped all over that, something you couldn't pass up.  It was so much fun to be with everyone and to have our own little space too.  We use to vacation a lot more together when our families weren't so big but it's hard now so this was so fun.

Mark getting his workout in with the kids...they love this. :)

We headed down to San Diego when the kids got off track in September and had such a great time!  All my siblings and my dad ended up coming down.  We haven't done a trip with all of us for a really long time.  We all had condos right next to each other at The Lawrence Welk Resort near San Diego.  The weather was beautiful, I've never really been in California for such great beach weather.  We usually go for Disneyland so it was fun to be able to enjoy the beaches.  Mark and Charlie flew home early for football, Mark took Cora too since she flies for free still.  It was fun to have Kenya and Leila for a few days.  We did do Disneyland, just one day with Cami and her girls.  Such a fun trip, we definitely want to do it again!

We had a lot of swimming days too.  These kids are happy wherever they are as long as they have their cousins to play with.  They're so lucky, it's what I always wished for as a kid!

Girls Get Away

I really wanted to enjoy the fall colors this year up at Snowbird so I planned a little last minute over nighter with Jenna, Shea, and Jen.  We went to dinner then went up to Snowbird for the night.  The next morning we hiked to the peak.  It was so beautiful, even though the colors had barely started changing. Afterwards we relaxed by the pool and took in the sunshine.  The weather was perfect.  It was a great little 24 hour getaway.  Love these ladies!

Bathing Beauties

My girls, especially Cora, love drinking the bath water.  Kinda gross.  This time I let the faucet run a little so they could drink some cleaner water.  It was quite entertaining for them, and me. :) Love how the bath will entertain them for a little while in the mornings, with some screams and cries thrown in. :)

Soccer

Charlie's playing comp soccer for Wasatch this year again.  He was excited to be picked by his basketball coach last year, Scott Richards to play for his team.  He's missed a lot with football this fall but Scott has been okay with it because a lot of the kids play football on his team so it's worked out pretty well.  He loves both, I will be sad for him when he'll have to choose one.  Sports these days are so competitive.  The kids can't do it all.

My friend Jayme had a baby and I'd been at the hospital with her for the whole thing, I snuck away to watch Charlie's soccer game.  It's been a tough weekend, she's been wanting to give the baby up for adoption but has been struggling with the decision.  I pray that she'll find peace and comfort in what she decides.  It's been rough.

Volunteering and Temple Open House

I volunteer in the kids classes once a month is all but I'm glad I get to see what they're up to.  I went to their recess after my volunteer time, Kenya loved having me there and was showing me her dances with Kylie and Brighton (she taught them her try out dances, so cute.)  I walked over to Charlie and his friends and barely got a hi from him.  Way too cool for mom and probably embarrassing too.  Better get use to it. :)  They're all obsessed with kendamas right now.

The Ogden temple was rebuilt, it wasn't easy but we found some time to go to the open house.  This was my kids first time walking through a temple.  I think it was a special experience for the older two especially.  This temple was of course beautiful.  I loved the modern details they did to it, different than any other temple I've been in.  I am so grateful to be sealed to this little family of mine and that they are mine forever.

Preschool!

This little cutie's first day of Preschool FINALLY came!  She's been beyond excited and ready to start her year with Mrs. T.  She's going with three other boys in our neighborhood and although she misses going with Scarlett and Emerson she doesn't seem to mind going with the boys either. :)

Look at that face!  So excited!

This teacher is ah-mazing.  They learn so much in this class and have an amazing music teacher, Miss Cookie, too.  She is really thriving!  I think Mrs. T was a little nervous to have Leila because she struggled with Charlie sometimes but she says Leila is doing great!
