Cousin Sleepover
My step sister Olivia is such a fun Aunt! She wanted to have all 6 girl cousins come out to her place and sleepover. Kenya was very excited, she barely said bye to us. Here she is waiting outside for Amy to pick her up and take her to Olivia's.
I was a little bit worried about how she would sleep, I warned Liv that if she goes to bed late that doesn't mean she's going to sleep in, I sent some melatonin too just to help her fall asleep. Apparently she barely slept at all! I guess they all slept in the same room which just gets her a little too excited to sleep, I should've have told Olivia to put her in a separate room. I heard she was up most of the night, waking the other cousins up, brushing Greta's hair while she was sleeping. Needless to say I don't think she'll be invited back until she's a bit older! :) She had a blast though and we enjoyed the time we got to spend with just Charlie. We took him to lunch and I got to do some shoe shopping with him. So thanks Liv for putting up with our monkey for a night!
The Lion King
Mark and I had a crazy Saturday last weekend. We went boating in the morning, Mark's first "company" party. So far they exist of four people but that will soon change. We had to leave early since I forgot about it and bought tickets from a friend to the matinee show for The Lion King. We raced home from boating, barely got to shower and change, switched babysitters for our kids and we were off to the show. It was a great show, I've wanted to see it forever so I'm glad we finally got too! When we got home from that we ordered pizza and hung out at Castle Park with Colby and Erianne and kids. Busy, fun day!

One Month
At one month old Leila
Sleeps through the night (5-7 hour stretches)
Made her first "cooing" sounds (tonight! So cute)
Loves her woombie
Loves being held
Is starting to love her binky
Takes a bottle
Has smiled a few times
Is holding her head up pretty well
Is starting to love her baths
Weighs almost 9 lbs
And fits right into our family.

I asked Charlie to play something nice and quiet with Kenya since he's usually pretend fighting with her. So I went upstairs to find them playing with her my little Ponies and he was doing their hair with bows and everything. I love that he is such a boy but can play with the girl stuff too. I'm sure that's not going to last long though.
Their "fort"
Kenya is definitely wanting more attention these days and throwing some bigger fits but that's to be expected. She is constantly wanting to have a picnic with anyone who will have it with her. I can guarantee that she's going to feed you strawberries if you get the chance to be her guest. :) Here she is having a picnic with daddy in the morning.

Last Couple Weeks
We went to the Bountiful parade this year on the 24th like the rest of Davis County! I actually haven't been to this parade for years and years. Last year we went to the fair during the parade, that's the way to go, there was no crowds, but this year we hadn't been to a parade yet so we went to this one, the longest parade ever! We left after 2 hours and it was only 2/3rds of the way finished. The kids loved it though. After the parade we went up to Mark's mom's who lives right next to Mueller Park for the fireworks. My kids didn't get to sleep until midnight, don't worry they were up by 7:00 the next morning. Lovely.

She had to be on the bili blanket over the weekend, she's off of it now we'll get her levels tested in a couple days to make sure they're still okay. We've been trying to get her some sunshine every day, she's very content outside in the heat. She was starting to get really hard to get to take her naps, you could tell her tummy was bugging her but I got her some gripe water and that seems to have helped her, she's back to being pretty good. She loves to be held, all you have to do is pick her up when she's crying and she'll almost always stop instantly. The other night she slept from 10-7! This morning she made it until 6:00 but for the most part she is still waking up one time during the night. I'm finally starting to feel a bit more adjusted to this new life and this new little one is finding her place in our family. It always takes me a few weeks but we're getting there. I got to go back to the gym this morning too, yeah! It felt good.

Newborn and Family Pics
Oh how I dread getting pictures taken, but it's got to be done. I decided to try and get some of the family and all three kids together with Leila's newborn pics. Let's just say I was sweating bullets by the end of the session, my kids were not cooperating (including Leila) and Mark was not thrilled to keep taking more and more pictures. In the end I finally got Leila to sleep and we got some cute ones but I had to bring my kids back a few days later and get some more of them. Thanks Paige for putting up with us, you were awesome!!!

My Sweetie Girl
These are Kenya's 3 year old pictures that Jayme took for me mixed in with a few shots of my big belly with little Leila in it.
Kenya's got so much personality inside that little body. She was the sweetest angel baby and as she got older she got to be more of a spit fire. We still see that little sweetie in her and I love how Jayme captured that in some of these pictures mixed in with the spunk. One day she put her hands on Mark's face and said "you're my sweetie girl." That's what Mark says to her sometimes so she was just saying it back. :) She loves her little Pooh Bear and has to sleep with him every night. She's a great "mom" to all her guys and babies and loves to have tea parties. She's been such a joy to have in our family. We love you sweetie girl!

Like how she fits perfectly right on that belly? I think I was 34 weeks in these pictures, I didn't grow too much after this thank goodness since I'm huge!
