Christmas Morning

The magical Christmas morning came with Cora waking us up first.  I got her out and let her enjoy the glow of the lights before the others woke up and came down.  I think they slept until about 7:00, good enough for me.

Christmas jammies.  I tried to pull off matching this year.  I can't do this for too many more years to come.

Stockings!  My favorite part as a kid.

Charlie wanted new basketball shoes.  I got him some then he showed these to Mark that he REALLY wanted.  So I exchanged the ones I bought for these.  I didn't think they were that great but they were cheaper so I went with it.  I went to one of his bball practices and noticed he was slipping all over the court, so back they went and he picked out a pair that are not so slippery.  Sometimes you just can't go cheap.

She does not do excited very well but she was, I promise. :)  She loves "Ayic"

Cora was cute about her couple of presents.  Look at that excitement! :)

I think 90% of Leila's gifts were princess related.  A Pocahontas doll.

Charlie was super excited about his presents.  I love watching him open them.  I think this one was minecraft for the Xbox.

Kenya's always so fun to watch too.  I mean, look at that mouth!

And that toothless smile!

Ohhhh, she's just so sweet.

Kenya looked like she was going to cry when she opened this Simba to add to her collection.  So excited!

And Mark thought Charlie was a little crazy with excitement over his Messi jersey.

Mark and I didn't get each other much, just some new clothes for Mark and some new boots for me.  I did get him a new phone but had to give it to him two days early because I didn't realize the phone lady fully activated his new phone and he was on the phone with AT&T to try and figure out why his phone wasn't working while I was in the other room trying to get them to get his old phone to work again.  Needless to say I just hung up the phone wrapped his gift and told him to open it, while he was on the phone with AT&T.  He was a little confused at first but once he opened it it all made sense. :)

Leila is thanking Santa here for her Little Mermaid figurines.

She really wanted paints from Santa, Kenya too.

Charlie's Santa gift was a huge remote control car.

And last but not least was our trip to Disney World.  There was a little puzzle piece of Florida in the bottom of the box along with some Disney world tickets.  They were excited, but I think expecting it a little.  Mark had said a couple things about it during Christmas time.

She keeps saying, "I wanna go to Disney Woll!"  It was hard for her to wait.

Charlie's main gifts-
Remote Control car
Utes little football helmet
Basketball shoes
Minecraft

Kenya-
Paints and Canvases
Stuffed Simba
Aladdin
Rainbow Loom

Leila-
Finger paints and papers

Christmas Eve

Christmas Eve is very exciting for my kids.  I'm glad it is, we don't do anything that special, just lots of family activities.  We started out with a slow morning and all the kids hanging out in our bed for a while.  We decided to go sledding since we had some good snow this year and met my family at a fun hill at a Centerville park.  It was so nice outside, everyone started stripping off clothes as the day went on.

That night we had Mark's family over for our traditional Christmas Eve dinner and gift exchange.
Cora was pretty excited about her gift, as was everyone else of course.

We were making fun of my no teeth smile.

Jayme came over for dinner, her kids were with Jeremy.  We were glad to have her.

Mark reading "Twas The Night Before Christmas."  Kenya in her new pajamas that they had just opened.

Kenya's sweet note to Santa.  We left all our gingerbread houses out for the reindeer to gobble up.  I think they liked it, and so did I.

Santa came.

I love the anticipation of Christmas morning and seeing the excitement on all of their faces.  Christmas with kids is the best, absolute best.  I really treasure every year we have because I know it won't last forever.
Merry Christmas to all and to all a good night!
