End of Year Programs

Charlie and Kenya had their end of year programs over the last couple weeks.  Kenya has been so excited, just like everything else she does.  One of our favorite attributes of hers is her enthusiasm.  She's been singing these songs all year long and I loved finally getting to see her perform them.

Charlie's program had a patriotic theme which brought back a lot of memories of when I sang those songs in Elementary.  I got emotional for a second and then Leila threw a fit over something and it was gone. :)  He's growing up so fast!  I can't believe he's going into third grade.  He sang his songs really good too, starting to get into the "I'm too cool phase" a little bit but not fully there yet.  We'll take what we can get.  Love this boy.
His program was during Leila's nap, hence the fit in the middle of it and the ornery look in the picture.

We had our friends and neighbors the Farnes over for dinner, they had a baby girl, Savvy, six days after we had Cora.  They had the same shirt so of course we had to take some pics.  And of course we couldn't get a good one of both of them being good.  I love all the different faces so I'll just have to post them all. :)

Two months old here, ready for the bumbo!

More Celebrating

We had some family and close friends over on Sunday for Kenya's birthday.  First some pictures of Cora's sweet face after feeding her.  I love having my camera on my phone, so handy!

This cake did not look very pretty but it tasted delicious.

These 3 little cuties were outside starting their own little game of ring around the rosies all on their own.  It was really cute.

They invited Luke into the circle.

Jeff and Mark had an idea to share a basketball court in our backyards on the easement property that the city basically gave to us.  It worked out well for us, we've been wanting to put one in for a while so this way it didn't take out any of our yard.  I just wish my ideas would happen as fast as this one did. :)  The kids have been having fun with it, mainly Charlie although I was hoping he'd be out there a little more than he is.  He's way into soccer right now and that's always going on at the neighbors.  I'm sure it'll get plenty of use over the years.

I snapped this without her knowing, look at her perfect form, go Shea. :)

I walked to the front yard and Kenya wanted to show me what she could do...

She just scaled that pole like it was nothing!  I was too impressed to get mad and say how dangerous it could be.  She is such a monkey.  She's heard me say that so many times now that she likes to tell people that, "I'm a monkey!".   It was a fun night celebrating this cutie's birthday.
