Discovery Gateway
We got a membership this year at Discovery Gateway and we've loved it! I don't know about the rest of you stay at home moms but I have to get out of the house just about every day for my sanity and to get Charlie's energy out, so just about every day after Kenya wakes up for her morning nap we load up and go somewhere, whether it be the park, the store, a friends, old McDonalds (as Charlie calls it) or Discovery Gateway! This time we took Samara and Jayme and baby Liam so Samara could get out of the house too. :) They played in the Sesame Street part the whole time and learned all about the body. Charlie loved the poop machine. :)

Mornings Like These...
No Children were harmed in the making of this video.
Okay, so this is what happened...
I bought Charlie some new Buzz Lightyear underwear which he was very excited about. A couple pair have Buzz on the back and he wanted to "see Buzz" and wear his underwear backwards. He's done this with his other character underwear and I've let him, even though it looks like he's wearing bikini underwear on his bum. Well today I told him if he wanted to wear his new underwear he would have to wear it the right way with Buzz in the back. Well that set him off! He was having none of it. I wasn't about to give into him after that sort of behavior so I picked my battle and I wasnt' giving in. He cried for a good twenty minutes about it. I told him I was going to take them back to the store if he didn't want to wear them the right way and eventually he gave in. In the midst of it I had taken away a package of hair clips from Kenya and that set her off (it was her nap time.) So that's when I decided to capture this moment and for my own sanity look at it as humorous.

It's Begun!
We are so excited because we own a piece of property with a big dirt hole in the ground! That's right, we finally closed on our loan and the process has begun. Who'd have thought you could be so excited about a hole. Charlie was especially excited about the big "dirt roofies" (this is what he called the big dirt piles, I guess they looked like roofs to him.) They should be pouring our foundation soon too, yeah! Our house is on the way!

Sunshine On My Shoulders Makes Me Happy
Yeah! A sunny day again! Charlie has been riding his new spider man scooter outside and is so excited to be riding it on the little skate parks we've found. He loves it and is so proud of himself for doing it so good! Kenya was not about to let Charlie have all the fun so I let her loose in the sand and she explored the whole sand box! She worked her way from one end to the other.
Mark took this picture on his phone and edited it, great action shot! Now if I could just get him to post something.
Kenya only ate the sand a couple times, better than expected!
Kenya trudging through the sand.
Here's Buzz Lightyear after watching "Buzz Lightyear go to the space." This is his outfit that he thinks makes him be Buzz Lightyear. :)
