Gardner Village
Doctor's, Doctor's, Doctor's!

This has become a pattern in our house, going to the Dr.'s office! Let's just start out with the most recent incident, Charlie swallowed a bolt! We were walking to the car from the dentist (next story) when he apparently picked it up off the road and hid it in his shirt as I put him in the car. As we were driving he started talking to me and the said, "I just swallowed a nail!" I said "What! why would you put a nail in your mouth! How big was it, where did you get it!" He told me he got it off the road and said it was "just little." Well I started crying, (I was on edge from the dentist) then HE started crying, "It hurts! It hurts!" "Where does it hurt?!" He points to his chest "right here!" I was freaking out a bit, thinking if he really did swallow a nail how are they going to get it out and is it going to tear something? We got home and I showed him a couple nails asking if they looked like what he swallowed, he pointed to the small 1/2 inch nail and said that was it. So I called Cami the nurse and we came to the conclusion that we better take him to the ER. So Mark took him to Davis Hospital, luckily we had already met our deductible this year so we didn't have to worry about that. Mark gets home an hour later and says "It wasn't a nail, it was a bolt!" Sure enough he swallowed a bolt and the Doctor said it should pass so now we get to dig through his poop to make sure it comes out! The doctor gave us the x-ray so above is an actual xray of his stomach. So glad he's ok and It wasn't anything sharp but what almost 4 year old swallows a bolt? Well mine does. :) A couple weeks ago he was riding his little spider man push car that's Kenya's size and I'm constantly telling him he's too big for it and not to ride it when he flipped over the front and banged his mouth on the cement. It was bleeding but that was it. About a week ago Mark noticed that his tooth started turning brown and I realized that it must be from his fall. So I called a new pediatric dentist, made sure they took our plan and went to his appointment only to find out after a 20 minute wait and paperwork that they don't take our plan so I walked across the street to our usual dentist very annoyed and made an appointment. It was after this that the swallowing of the bolt happened. At his later appointment we were told he needs a baby root canal to clean out his dead tooth and he'll now have a pretty discolored tooth until it falls out. And can you handle one more doctor story? I'm sure you've all stopped reading by now but I'll keep going. Last week Mark was trying to get him to get up so we could go on a bike ride before it got dark. He tugged him by his arm to get him to get up because he wasn't minding. Well Charlie has a very loose elbow I guess (He must get this from me, I'm now convinced that this is what happened to me as a kid and it never got fixed,) and Charlie screams "You broke my arm again!!" Through his tears "You broke my arm just like last year at our old church!" Yes this did happen at church as Charlie was trying to crawl under the benches Mark grabbed his arm to pull him back and he yelled during church "You broke my arm!" It's actually called Nursemaid elbow and it happens all the time to young kids. We had to take him to the insta care and get it put back in place. Whew! Three doctors in 2 weeks, that's a new record. Love ya bud but please be more careful and mind your parents! :)

Pack's Pumpkin Patch
We went to the Pumpkin Patch last week on a Monday night, as lot's of others have learned it's not a good night to go, it was very crowded! We road our bikes out to Pack's Pumpkin Patch since it's not far from our house which was fun but by the time we got there it was getting dark and so crowded so we didn't get to spend much time there and we didn't search too hard for our pumpkins which I'm regretting now and I've just realized that we haven't even carved them! Maybe we'll have to skip that event this year, we've been so busy every night! I love the fall and feel like every year there's so many things I want to do before the weather turns and the leaves fall and Halloween arrives! I love it though, It is my favorite season and I'm glad it's been such beautiful weather! After Pack's we went back home and enjoyed some pumpkin chocolate chip cookies with Paige and Russ while our kids ran wild. It was a fun night!

We Love Grandpa!
Thanks dad for letting us invade your bachelor pad for the past 6 months! As I have come back to his house since our move I've realized what a mess we were in his house! Thank you for putting up with the mess, the screaming, crying, yelling, early wakings, time-outs, neighbor calling, couch ruining, dish breaking days! What a great dad I have, my kids miss seeing their grandpa!
Bear Lake
In the midst of all our packing Itransact (Mark's place of employment along with every other sibling or spouse in my family's place of employment,) decided to have a little retreat over nighter up in Bear Lake. Unfortunately it snowed but that didn't stop us from riding the rhinos for a bit. We played rock band the night before and my trio got first and last place! :) What can I say, my inner singer came out, I just got to sing by default my drum skills are non existent and my guitar skills need practice before playing. :)
We're In!
We are all moved in and loving it! I am so grateful to my dad for letting us live with him for so long but it is so great to have our own house again! I know he's thinking the same thing too. Here are some pictures, still a lot of decorating to do, give me 5 more years! :) I don't have a picture of the outside because they still haven't put up the wood beam and arch that go on the front porch so I'll wait for that before I take a pic of it.
