Cora's Birthday Party

We had to celebrate Cora's birthday a little bit early since we would be at Snowbird on her actual birthday.  It was a little bit crazy planning a birthday party and leaving for a trip the next day, Kenya is always a great helper though.

I was planning on having her party outside but surprise, it snowed!  Reliable spring weather in Utah.  So we all crowded in the house and enjoyed a yummy pasta bar since she loves spaghetti so much and cake of course.

Love her kissy face in this!

When it was time for cake Leila was being a good sister and trying to keep her hand away from the candle but at one point neither Leila or I were quick enough and she grabbed the flame at the end of the song.  I'll let the pictures do the talking, Mark got it all on video.

Oh no! (Look at Leila, sweet concerned sister.)

Poor thing.  I felt awful.

Nothing a little cold water couldn't fix, she moved onto eating the cake and loved it.

Presents!

The night ended with kisses and giggles from Uncle Colby and a bottle with mom.

This sweet sweet girl, how is she one?!  I feel so blessed to be her mom and to hear her call me "momma."  I truly have enjoyed this first year with her so much and am so grateful that I was able to.  I am sad to say goodbye to my infant but excited to see how she continues to grow and develop into a toddler. (crazy!)
