Mrs. T's Christmas Program

Charlie was so excited for this program because he knew Santa Claus was going to come! He was practicing the songs at home all the time, Kenya even learned some of them. He got to stand right by Santa and sang all the songs so well. He is quite the singer. All the kids got to sit on Santa's lap after singing and Kenya kept saying "Santa! Santa!" During it all. She was a handful to get to sit still and at one point she snuck her way up there and before you knew it she was on Santa's lap. She got shy when she got up there and mumbled something that she wanted. It was pretty cute.

I felt so bad because when it was finally Charlie's turn to go sit on his lap I was chasing Kenya and he got on and off so fast that I didn't get a picture. The picture below you can see Charlie in the corner going back to his seat, sorry bud!

He did tell him that he wanted a rocket launcher, monster truck, and a Chick Hicks truck. He's stuck to that list the whole time!

Snowman

Yay for some Christmas snow! The kids love playing it and were excited to build this snowman with their dad.

July 17, 2010

Is when we will be expecting baby number 3! I'm 10 weeks along and starting to feel better, just tired and fat. I can't believe how quick my belly stuck out this time around I look about 4 months pregnant, it's wonderful. I thought I better let you all know before you saw me and had to wonder. :)

Phone Thief

The other day I was heading out the door when I couldn't find my phone so I called it to see where I had put it. After a couple rings I heard a little voice "Hello" it took me a second to realize it was Charlie but he wasn't upstairs or in his room or even in the house he was at preschool! He snuck my phone right as his ride came to pick him up. I remember him saying right before he left "Mom, Hallie has a real phone." I just kind of sad "oh really" knowing that she doesn't have a real phone, well he thought he was pretty cool. I said "Charlie what are you doing with my phone!" I could hear his teacher talking in the background and I told him to give it to her and turn it off, well he just sort of hung up on me! When I got home and told Mark what happened he said "I know! He called me about six times at work!" He knows that holding down the 7 will call his dad. I have a feeling this is just a taste of what's to come with this kid!

He does do some cute things too though to redeem himself. A couple weeks ago he was singing in my shower while I was getting dressed.

"Hello, hello, hello, hello, we welcome you today! To share with us in a primary day and we love you in a very special way!" I love listening to him sing the words to songs, he always has his own little version.

Thanks for keeping us on our toes bud!

Fun Nights

This is quite late but I got to go to So You Think You Can Dance with some friends last month. We had a great time. Love that show!

A couple weeks later I took Kenya to Disney Princesses On Ice. She loved it and especially loved borrowing a princess dress from Samara for the evening.

How cute are these princesses?

Makes Me Smile

Kenya was in the bath one morning and I heard her get out and start playing upstairs so I just let her. A few minutes later she came down the stairs looking like this. Made me laugh.

My 5 year old

Charlie's birthday was on the 16th. He is SO excited that he is finally 5! He's been upset every time one of his friends turns 5 and he's still 4 so he's very excited to be 5 this year. He wanted a Toy Story cake so we found this little picture on line and I tried to duplicate it. Unfortunately we couldn't find Woody the star of the show when it came time to put the guys on so the cake is woody-less. :(

We had a family party for him on Sunday and on his birthday, Monday, he invited a couple friends to Discovery Gateway then they came over for cupcakes. That night we went out to Build a Bear, it was a fun filled day!

Charlie got a fish from his Aunt Maurena, he's pretty excited about it. He named it Buster.

The crazy Kenya giving the horse a kiss.

2nd cake for the festivities, I actually took the left over cake from the night before and mushed it up into a circle and covered it with fondant so it was easy, doesn't look too great but he loved it.

Kenya got a bear for not having any accidents for almost a week, yay! Ever since my meltdown she's been doing really good. Guess I better have meltdowns more often. :)
