5 months

Leila is 5 months now. I am mostly doing these monthly posts for me, I know none of you really care about what she's doing at 5 months, but one day I will so bear with me or skip through these! :) If I could describe Leila in one word it would be happy. She is at such a fun, easy stage right now for me. She lights up whenever anyone talks to her, we love it. At 5 months she

Weighs about 14 lbs
Sleeps 8-10 hours at night
Takes 2-3 naps a day
Still isn't really rolling, just a handful of times from front to back but is just starting to turn to the side a little bit when she's on her back.
Doesn't really hold toys yet, Charlie was grabbing for toys at 3 months so she feels slow to me but I think she's just more average. I will be happy though if she takes longer to move around than my other two did.
Started squawking and having more of a voice.
Still likes to be swaddled when she sleeps.
Rarely is fed a bottle but usually drinks it fine when she is.

I started feeding her solids at about 4 1/2 months but stopped a week or so ago because I read an article from my doctor on the benefits of strictly breast fed babies until 6 months. My main motivation was to get her to sleep longer, and it really didn't make a difference, so I stopped. We'll start up in a few weeks I guess but it's kind of nice to not have to worry about bringing food and all that goes along with it when you go out. Now if I could just get her to do a 10 hour stretch every night instead of occasionally that would be wonderful. I guess it could be worse though!
